I decided to start a blog about my journeys & life in general. I also write it in english so everyone can understand:) Trying to write as good english as I can.
I love travelling so I do it quite a lot. I have also some health problems that have inspired me to search how to live life healthy and what affects one's health. My biggiest problem have been my stomach.
I have always had some problems with my stomach, but about 2 years ago my stomach was hurting so bad, that I went to hospital to get some days off from work. It just happened like this: one night 4 am I woke up to an awful pain in my stomach, something I have never felt before like cold and burning at the same time.. it's hard to describe. I waited for the next day and the pain relieved. Afternoon I was hungry and cooked some rice and chicken... after half an hour of eating the same pain came SO bad I had to ask my father to take me in hospital. They couldn't say anything and I didn't want to use any painkillers. So when I came home, I rested and ate something very light like berries and fruit.
Since that I have had this weird feeling in my stomach especially in the morning. I left meatproducts about one year ago because of both ethical reasons and because my stomach didn't seem to digest it anymore. I didn' like it anyway:)
So right now I'm in Barcelona, Spain. I just arrived here yesterday and I chose this city because I saw some super nice pics about fruit market in Barcelona and one estonian friend of mine have been there!
Yes this is my pinky flowery bag which might seem ridiculous but I think it's genius! No one can mix it to their baggage and this bag can never be lost!:D
And before this I was september-october 2012 in Spain, starting my journey from 811-friendly fruit festival in Andalucia, it was amazing! Then I continued to Malaga because I didn't have any plans... stayed there for over a week (a very nice & cheap fruit market there also!). One day I was chatting with my mom in fb and she told me about this Camino de Santiago she found from Internet. When I read about this Camino I decided that there I must go! So I travelled in Roncesvalles northern Spain by trains and buses. I got my pilgrim passport there and walked for 25 days about 20km per day and I ate only fruits and nuts during day and a HUGE salad with cooked rice in the evening:) I felt so energized & amazing and that was the longest time completely VEGAN :) Walking the Camino was such amazing experience anyways! I totally recommend it for every person ready to have few blisters and muscle pain for this magnificent experience! :D
Just a few pics from the camino... (maybe I'll do a post about it some time?)
30.11. 2012 I came back in Finland for over a week and then continued to Skeppsgården, Sweden in the Living Food Global Center. I stayed there for 5 weeks volunteering and I met so many amazing people and learned a lot there! Especially I miss one lovely swedish girl, we came along so well!:) So this time I stayed now first time so long RAW VEGAN but in my opinion this Ann Wigmore raw vegan style has too less fruit and too much nuts, seeds, and some savory things like tamari and spices. It didn't actually make me feel best physically but much more better than eating Mc'Donalds food;D Here I also met this one swedish guy and he told me about Robert Morse nd (naturopathic doctor) and his videos in youtube. I watched few and addicted totally! All he was telling made sense to me and I agreed everything!:) So I started planing where to go next... some place with lot of cheap fruit and a cheap place to stay: I found Barcelona and bought one way ticket. I decided to start the real detox (also ordered some suitable herbs from dr. Morses webpage).
So now I'm kind of combining travelling and improving my health:) I will be posting here things about detoxing feelings, my life here and other thouhgts!
And in the end some pics from my stay in Skeppsgården...
I just have to put this pic in the end:D I didn't know should I laugh or cry when I saw these in the shop... must be a joke? :D ( Well now we know where the happiness was hiding all the time lol)
